Welcome to Scott Radio & Electronics. These terms describe use of our website, purchases directly from Scott Radio, and participation in the Scott Radio Exchange. The Returns & Refunds Policy and Privacy Policy provide additional details. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.

Accounts and responsible use
Provide accurate contact and transaction information and keep your account access secure. You must be legally able to enter into the transaction you undertake. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not impersonate another person, post fraudulent or stolen goods, upload malicious content, harvest customer information, send unsolicited messages through the Exchange, or interfere with the service.
Buying from Scott Radio
Our inventory includes vintage, used and salvaged equipment and parts. Read the individual description, photographs, model, measurements and disclosed testing or condition carefully. An item described as untested or for repair is not represented as fully operational. Ask about compatibility before ordering; a similar appearance does not establish that a part will fit your radio.
Prices, available quantities, shipping charges, taxes and available payment methods are shown during purchase. An order acknowledgment confirms receipt of the order, not that it has shipped. If an item is unavailable or a material listing error affects your order, we will contact you and resolve the order, including a refund for any canceled, unshipped item already paid for. We will not silently substitute a different item.
Shipping, delays and returns
Shipping availability and charges are shown before purchase. Transit estimates are estimates, and any shipping commitment stated for the order will be honored subject to applicable law. If we cannot ship within the applicable promised period, we will provide the required delay or cancellation/refund options.
Our Returns & Refunds Policy explains the 30-day request window, return authorization, inspection, return labels, store credit and original-payment refunds. Linear amplifiers are final sale: no returns or exchanges, except where a remedy is required by law. That exception must also be shown clearly on the amplifier’s listing; the general return guarantee does not apply to linear amplifiers.
Scott Radio Exchange: complete CB radios
The Exchange is a community listing service for complete CB radios. Parts listings belong in the Scott Radio parts store rather than the Exchange. Sellers must own their items or be authorized to sell them and must accurately disclose brand, model, price, condition, known defects, shipping terms and their return policy. Use photographs you have the right to publish and remove a listing promptly when its radio is sold or unavailable.
Scott Radio charges no Exchange listing fee and takes no sales commission. Payment processors, shipping services or other providers may charge their own fees. The buyer and independent seller must agree on the transaction, payment method, shipping, insurance and return terms before money changes hands. Do not assume a payment method includes buyer protection; check its actual terms.
Unless a listing clearly identifies Scott Radio as the seller, Scott Radio is not the seller of that community-listed radio and does not provide a blanket guarantee, escrow service or refund promise for it. The independent seller’s disclosed policy and applicable legal or payment-provider protections govern that transaction. Do not send a community seller’s radio to Scott Radio without a separate written arrangement.
Listing review and moderation
Listings and edits may be reviewed before publication. We may request clarification, decline or remove misleading, unsuitable or prohibited listings, and restrict accounts that misuse the service. Review is not certification of ownership, condition, safety or the identity of a participant. Buyers should ask questions and make their own checks before purchasing.
Equipment and technical information
Follow applicable rules when owning, selling, installing or operating radio equipment. Buying equipment does not establish permission to operate it in a particular way. Vintage equipment can present electrical hazards; use a qualified technician when appropriate. General compatibility or repair information is not a substitute for inspection of your particular equipment.
Your listings and our content
You retain ownership of material you submit and permit Scott Radio to display and format it as needed to operate your listing and the Exchange. Do not submit material that infringes someone else’s rights or exposes another person’s private information. Scott Radio’s branding and original site content may not be used to imply endorsement or affiliation without permission.
Availability, responsibility and changes
We aim to provide accurate information and a reliable service, but interruptions and errors can occur. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by independent community sellers, third-party services or misuse of the site or equipment. Nothing in these terms excludes a responsibility, guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Contact us first so we can try to resolve a problem. Applicable United States federal law and Alabama law govern these terms, subject to any consumer protections that apply regardless of this choice. Updated terms apply prospectively; we will not use a later change to remove a right already attached to a completed purchase.
