Information you provide
We collect information needed to provide the service you request. This can include your name, email address, telephone number, account information, shipping and billing addresses, order details, support messages, and listing descriptions and photographs. Payment providers process payment details; we do not store your complete card number or card security code in our customer-interest dashboard.
When you create an account, we retain your email address to manage that account, provide order or listing updates, help with password resets, and respond to you. Creating an account or allowing interest tracking does not itself subscribe you to promotional email or text messages.
Essential cookies and technical records
The site uses necessary cookies and related features for sign-in, shopping sessions, security, preferences and site operation. Hosting and security systems may log IP addresses, browser or device information, requested pages, dates and technical errors to operate and protect the site. These security records are separate from the optional customer-interest feature described below.
Optional customer-interest tracking
If you choose “Allow interest tracking,” Scott Radio records the page paths, page or product titles, product identifiers when applicable, and times of your visits. A randomly generated first-party browser identifier connects these events. If you later sign in or place an order through the same consenting browser, we can connect its recent browsing history to your existing customer account or order contact details.
This feature does not discover an anonymous visitor’s name or email address. It does not store IP addresses, browser fingerprints, query strings, passwords, form contents or payment details. Account, cart, checkout, contact, privacy, seller-management and listing-submission pages are excluded. We do not send this feature’s browsing records to an outside identity database or external CRM.
Tracking and identifier cookies last up to 90 days. A daily cleanup removes interest events older than 90 days. Backup copies expire according to the site’s normal backup schedule. Tracking is optional: use “Privacy preferences” to decline or erase history associated with the current browser identifier. Preferences are specific to each browser or device. The optional feature honors Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser settings.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, process and fulfill orders, calculate shipping and taxes, answer questions, handle returns, moderate listings, prevent misuse, maintain records and improve our catalog and customer service. Consented interests help us understand which radios and parts customers are looking for. We do not automatically enroll visitors in marketing based on their browsing history.
Who receives information
Service providers may receive the information necessary for their work, including payment processing through Stripe or PayPal, shipping carriers, connected tax-calculation services, email delivery, hosting, site security and backup services. Those providers also process information under their own terms and privacy notices. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably needed to protect customers, our services or our legal rights.
We do not sell or rent customer contact lists as part of our store or this first-party interest feature. We do not currently operate AudienceLab-style anonymous identity matching on this WordPress site.
Community Exchange information
Published listings are public. Information you put in a listing description or image may be visible to everyone. Avoid including private addresses, account details or other information you do not want published; consider removing location metadata from uploaded photos. If you contact a seller, the message and contact details needed to reply may be provided to that seller. Independent sellers are responsible for their own handling of information and transactions.
Retention and your choices
Order, tax, account and dispute records may be kept as reasonably needed for the transaction, legal obligations, fraud prevention and recordkeeping. Other information is kept only as long as needed for its stated purpose. Optional interest events follow the 90-day cleanup described above.
Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. We may verify your identity, and some records must be retained for legal, transaction or security reasons. WordPress privacy export and erasure tools include account- or order-linked interest records. Browser erasure does not cancel orders or delete required accounting records. Promotional communications, if you separately request them, include an unsubscribe option.
Outside links, security and updates
Links, embedded media and integrations may connect you to other services whose privacy practices we do not control. We use reasonable safeguards, but no website can promise complete security. Do not send passwords or complete payment details by email or in listings. If our practices materially change, we will update this notice and obtain any additional permission required before using information for a new purpose.
